College of Health Sciences
Colorado Technical University’s College of Health Sciences offers clinical and administrative courses of study designed to provide you with an opportunity for skills-based education to pursue education in medical assisting, radiological technology, surgical technology, nursing, health services administration, and healthcare management.
CTU programs provide an opportunity to acquire knowledge, skills and confidence that can help you tackle challenges and opportunities you may encounter in the real world after the successful completion of your chosen degree program. Courses are taught by a respected faculty, many with applicable professional experience in the fields they teach. Your instructors can function as your learning partners, giving you the opportunity to become an active participant in your own education.
Students in the Associate Degree in Healthcare Administration Services within the College of Health Sciences have the opportunity to complete 60 hours of applicable, hands-on experience within their field of study by the time they graduate. This gives students real-world exposure in an approved physical healthcare setting that can be beneficial to an understanding of healthcare finance, human resources, healthcare administration, reimbursement systems, and healthcare records, as well as regulatory, ethical, and legal issues affecting healthcare organizations.
The CTU Professional Learning Model™
Colorado Technical University's project-based Professional Learning Model™ was founded on the belief that learners achieve more when given opportunities to practice their newfound knowledge and skills in near-real world situations. The CTU PLM™ places students in the active role of collaborative problem-solvers and project initiators, engaging you in complex, real-world situations and challenging you to organize, research and solve problems.
